A consortium of Royal HaskoningDHV and TechForce Innovation will develop solutions to ensure significant increased coastal protection at three southern islands of the Maldives: Fuvahmulah, Maradhoo and Feydhoo.

These islands experience severe erosion and flooding problems.

The consortium will focus on locations where the urgency is largest and where relatively limited measures can have a significant impact on the local protection against flooding due to possible sea level rise and the ongoing erosion.

The aim of this project is to provide locals with a safe and healthy environment to live and work in and provide a sustainable stable basis for further socio-economic development.
