The Southern Dredging Company last week started an emergency dredging project in Morehead City Harbor, North Carolina, at the Aviation Fuel Terminal piers on Radio Island.

The Dredge Brunswick will operate on a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week basis until approximately March 7, 2015.

Dredged material will be transported by a submerged and anchored dredge pipeline across the bottom of the Range C channel to the Brandt Island disposal site.

Mariners are requested to stay clear of the dredge and to exercise extreme caution when approaching, passing, and leaving the dredge area and plants.
