Wasa Dredging, a marine offshore and inland water construction company, has just completed a dredging project in Bringsinghaug, Norway.
The project, located in the Møre og Romsdal area, had to see removal of approx. 6250 m³ of polluted material by using environmental dredging techniques. Wasa Dredging was working as a subcontractor to a company called Volda Maskin AS.
For that purpose, WD brought in a Wasa type BHD 12000 Backhoe dredger ‘HECTOR’. Built in 2010 and with the max dredge depth of 22 m, the ‘HECTOR’ is able to pick up to 14m³ of dredged material in one scoop.
After successfully completing the project, WD moved ‘HECTOR’ to a working site in Florø, Norway, where the dredger is currently engaged in another dredging project.
Wasa Dredging, founded in 1984, works mainly in Scandinavia and the Baltic region. The company is highly specialized in port and channel dredging, trench dredging and environmental dredging. Adding to this, WD has extensive experience in underwater drilling and blasting as well as using this material for various constructions such as breakwaters, land filling and underwater constructions.
