Land and Water Group has announced its winning of the coveted Construction News Specialist Award 2015. The Parrett and Tone Dredging Project was selected for the prize in the ‘over £2 million category’.
The ceremony, held at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London, was attended by nearly 800 people from over 90 shortlisted businesses representing the very best specialist contractors in the UK.
The awards judging panel of 67 contractors, clients and industry leaders said the quality of entries exceeded their expectation and that Land and Water were crowned winners because “t he project required a huge leap of faith as well as battling with nature and engineering structures. The panel singled out L&W’s ‘complete enthusiasm’ for the scheme on which the team overcame a range of challenges, local and national pressure, and the need for effective community engagement.”
