Work on lock gates at Kilrush Marina on the Shannon Estuary was completed this month, just in time for the first sail of the year over St Patricks weekend.
“ Also the long awaited news we have all been waiting for on the dredging application, has finally come through, with the licence approval being granted ,” announced the Kilrush Marina official website.
Work to dredge the approach channel is scheduled start in the first week of April.
A new floating breakwater is constructed and due to be installed shortly which will offer additional protection to an already well sheltered and safe marina.
