Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has announced support for 42 infrastructure projects in Quebec, including federally-owned small craft harbors and regional airports, as well as other federal assets and supported initiatives.

This program will generate jobs and economic growth across the province.

The support being provided for 34 small craft harbors will help refurbish and repair these facilities while improving safety and working conditions for commercial fishermen in Quebec. It will also generate construction jobs.

The announcement is part of the Canadian government’s investment in public infrastructure to ensure Canada’s future economic growth for years to come while balancing the federal budget and keeping taxes low.
