Dredging operations within Topsail Inlet, Topsail Creek and Banks Channel, undertaken with the dredger Chesapeake, have been extended until 15 April, 2015.

The pipeline will be placed from the dredging location to the Topsail Beach and the operations continue to take place 24 hours a day 7 days a week, announced the Cruisers’ Net.

New Topsail Inlet intersects the Waterway via Howards Channel at Mile 270.

The inlet dredging operation should not impede Waterway navigation.
