DBR are currently putting together a 40 foot DNV 2.7-1 container generator set for a vessel owned by Jan De Nul Group. After delivery in Q3 2015, the customized generator set will be put into action on offshore trenching operations.

The company’s strong relationship with Jan De Nul Group goes back decades – they have supplied numerous smaller generator sets over the years. This current contract represents one of the biggest generator sets that DBR will have constructed for Jan De Nul Group.

“ With its 1.5MW capacity, this genset provides considerable power – exactly what our client is looking for ,” says DBR Managing Director Herwin Roodenburg . He goes on to highlight the suitability of the design for use in harsh offshore conditions: “ This container genset is Bureau Veritas-classed for offshore lifting purposes in ambient temperatures up to 45°C. ”

Based in Sliedrecht, the Netherlands, DBR provides customized solutions in the field of power supply for offshore platforms, ships and onshore applications.
