Dredging and underwater works at the Albert Pier have officially started, according to the Guernsey Harbor’s Local Notices to Mariners.

This very important dredging program, located in St Peter Port Harbor, will last approximately three weeks.

The vessels Needles and Doreen Dorward will be conducting the works with a work boat and pilot boat in attendance.

Mariners are requested to keep clear of this area whilst the dredging vessels are manoeuvring.

Prior to this project, self propelled split-hopper barge Needles and dredger Doreen Dorward conducted maintenance dredging in Cowes at Cowes Yacht Haven removing approx 15,000m3 of silt from the site.
