Parliamentary Secretary Randy Kamp, Member of Parliament for Pitt Meadows – Maple Ridge – Mission, has announced that the Government of Canada will invest $450,000 this year in improvement projects at the small craft harbors in Mission and Kanaka Landing.

This funding will provide a safer and more efficient working environment for local fishermen and harbor users.

“ Fishing is an important way of life for many residents of Mission and Maple Ridge. Our Government is committed to supporting infrastructure that our dedicated fishermen rely upon in order to provide for their families. We will continue to provide a safe working environment for the people of BC, ” Kamp said.

This investment will support the reconstruction of the electrical systems at both harbors as well as the installation of the concrete breakwater float at the Mission Harbor.
