In partnership with the City of Scottsboro, Goose Pond Colony Resort has undergone a $2 million marina expansion.
The first phase of this expansion, set to be wrapped up this spring, brought one new dock with 44 new slips and the dredging of the marina entrance for easy access.
“ The marina expansion and other improvements show our commitment to enhancing the public’s outdoor space in the Scottsboro community ,” said General Manager Lyle Sosebee.
Over the next few phases, three docks will be added, bringing a total of 140 new slips to the marina.
The Alabama Department of Tourism recognized Goose Pond as one of the Top 10 Parks and Natural Destinations in the state.
