Crown Lands said that the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) has been finalized for the dredging of the Brunswick River and that they expect to award the contract in July.
The start date for the works will be confirmed after that, announced Byron Shire Council.
Staff have obtained a copy of the REF and environmental issues seem to be well considered.
The REF for the maintenance of the southern training wall is nearing completion.
Crown Lands expect to undertake the works later this year, noting the works will take a couple of weeks and are minor in nature.
Staff and other stakeholders will be updated at the next Brunswick Harbor Consultative Committee Meeting, scheduled for 2 July.
