A helicopter of the Libyan air force attacked and sunk a dredger off Benghazi coast yesterday, said General Saqr Al-Jroshi, Commander of the Libyan Air Force.
“ The dredger, which came from the west of the country and moved towards Benghazi, was destroyed. Another two vessels are on their way to the city and will be dealt with accordingly ,” Al-Jroshi said. He also added that the dredger carried “ terrorists and ammunition,” Xinhua informs.
Spokesman of Battalion 309 deployed in west Benghazi confirmed the attack, saying that the vessel “ came from Misrata and was attempting to enter Al-Mresa seaport of west Benghazi. It was targeted and destroyed immediately by the air force.”
