With immediate effect and for a period of approximately 13 months, dredging operations will be carried out in the Tai O area, located on the western side of Lantau Island in Hong Kong, announced the Marine Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR).
The works will be carried out by one derrick lighter and one hopper barge.
The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements. A working area of approximately 15 meters around each working vessel will be established.
Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.
