Komatsu Europe International N.V. has launched its new PW160-10 wheeled excavator fitted with an EU Stage IIIB engine that boasts up to 8% less fuel consumption.

Built on proven features of previous models, the PW160-10 offers faster cycle times with a heavier counterweight, excellent stability and an “over the side” lifting capacity improved by 8%.

Its enhanced engine management and updated hydraulic system will help Komatsu customers increase productivity and cut ownership costs.

“ Thanks to industry-leading characteristics, such as its superior lifting capacity, outstanding stability and upgraded driving performance, the productivity of the PW160-10 can equal that of a higher class machine ”, said Sebastian Zienau Product Manager for wheeled excavators . “ The operator works in a perfectly safe environment and gets more done, faster, at a lower cost with total peace of mind.”

The latest KOMTRAX™ technology on the PW160-10 sends machine operating information to a secure website utilizing wireless technology. Data such as operating hours, fuel consumption, location, cautions and maintenance alerts are relayed to the web application for analysis.
