Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, has announced an investment to improve safety and working conditions for fishermen at Naufrage Harbor, Prince Edward Island.
This funding will be used to replace a section of an existing deteriorated wharf with a new structure, repair the entrance breakwater and carry out maintenance dredging of the channel.
“This announcement is part of our Government’s ongoing commitment to support harbors, local economies and foster job creation. These improvements to the Naufrage Harbor will allow our fishermen to continue to efficiently and safely make a living for their families ,” said Shea.
