As rowers from around the country arrive to Cooper River in Camden, N.J. for the 2015 USRowing Masters National Championships many will notice the notable improvements made to the venue.

After the 2013 USRowing Masters National were held in Camden, the park was closed for an entire year to develop the park into one of the top venues in the country including a multi-million dollar boathouse to attract new and seasoned rowers alike.

The $30 million, state, country and grant funded program allowed upgrades to the infrastructure and roadways around the park, landscaping to clean the vegetation that clogs the riverbanks, the development of bike paths and an amphitheater, a permanent bathroom facility, a new boat launch, vista decks along the banks of the waterway for viewing value, the dredging of the river and the construction of start and finish line towers that mirrors the architecture of the boathouse that opened in 2006.

Over 2,000 athletes will be racing at the new and improved course in the largest USRowing event during the four-day regatta.
