The Land and Water Services Ltd. is building a new marina on the navigable River Nene in Northamptonshire.
The 140 berth facility is the brainchild of John and Debbie Skinner who were looking to provide much needed moorings to promote the use of the navigable Nene.
The construction criteria was focused on delivery and therefore Land and Water elected to use a precast concrete block system to meet the client’s program requirements.
Having identified suitable back-fill material on site, construction using this method is quick, safe and cost effective. The whole construction phase will take just twelve weeks making this one of the shortest delivery programs in Land and Water Services extensive portfolio of marina builds.
Completion of the project is set for mid-October.
