The Town of North Topsail Beach Board of Aldermen will hold a special meeting today to continue discussions about the inlet area and how to address ongoing erosion along the shoreline closest to the inlet.
The meeting will be held at the North Topsail Beach Town Hall at 2008 Loggerhead Court.
The Board of Aldermen heard an update on the erosion and flooding in the inlet area during the board’s regular meeting on September 3.
During that meeting the board authorized bringing in sand for dune rehabilitation adjacent to the sandbag revetment near the New River Inlet.
The board authorized its engineering firm, CP&E, to begin the permitting process for sandbags in case that option is needed.
