To strengthen the competitiveness of the Port of Abidjan, the Ivory Coast authorities have undertaken an ambitious infrastructure development project.
The project will cost around $1.12 billion, and 85% of this budget will be provided by China.
This capital expansion scheme will include the enlargement/deepening of the Vridi Canal and the construction of the second container terminal to increase port’s cargo capacity.
All these works will be performed by the China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd, (CHEC).
