The dredging operations are scheduled to occur in Church Creek, one of the most highly degraded sub-watersheds on the South River, from October 26, 2015 until February 15, 2016, the U.S. Coast Guard informs.

The work is located within the Church Creek channel, in the upper waterway from Wilenar Community Marina.

The navigation channel will be dredged full width and this area will be restricted during the project. Equipment on scene will include 4 scourer barges and 2 digging barges.

All equipment will be marked and lighted in accordance with USCG regulations.

Mariners are urged to use caution when transiting the area, reduce to a no wake speed in the vicinity of the equipment.
