Van Oord, a Dutch contracting company that specializes in dredging and land reclamation, has just signed another major contract in Maldives.
According to the Maldives’ Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure, the agreement will involve dredging, reclamation and civil works in the Thinadhoo, Feydhoo and Himmafushi areas.
The project is schedule to be completed within 14 months from the contract signing date.
Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, signed the agreement on behalf of the Government of Maldives and Mr. Ton Van der Burg inked the deal on behalf of Van Oord.
The pre-bid meetings for the land reclamation projects on these islands were held earlier this year.
