A joint funding agreement between the Department for Transport and Main Roads and Redland City Council will see long awaited dredging work undertaken at William St boat ramp and adjacent Raby Bay channel.

The proposed work will deepen the entrance channel and dredge out the basin around the boat launching facilities at William Street, Cleveland. The dredging work is scheduled for the financial year 2016-17.

During the remainder of this year, the department will undertake works designs and obtain the necessary environmental approvals.

In the following financial year of 2017-18, work will also begin to extend the breakwater on the northern side of the pontoons.
