Plans for a Yorkshire Harbor and Marina in Bridlington are progressing very well, the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Bridlington Harbor Commissioners announced.
The Council and the Commissioners have now entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to reflect the commitment of the parties to work together to deliver the proposal.
Councillor Stephen Parnaby OBE, leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “This announcement is yet more good news for Bridlington and demonstrates this authority’s commitment to regenerate the town, expand its tourism offer and strengthen its reputation as a top visitor destination.”

To bring the project forward, the council has seconded its head of planning and development management, Pete Ashcroft, to the newly-created post of director of Yorkshire Harbor and Marina Project. In this role, he will work closely with the commissioners and the wider community to progress the scheme.
