The 2015 Lake Anne dredging project is now wrapped up, according to the Reston Association.
Reston Association’s contractor, Lake Services, removed 544 truckloads, approximately 6,000 cubic yards of material from the lake over the last several weeks.
The main goal of this cleanup scheme is to clear accumulated sediment and leaf debris to improve boat and shoreline access as well as provide additional water storage areas and deeper areas for fish.
Removing sediment at the coves where the major drainage-ways enter the lake helps to prevent the lake from filling in with accumulated sediments.
