The maintenance dredging work in the vicinity of ST Marine Yard, Benoi Basin, is about to begin, according to the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) of Singapore.
Starting from December 23rd to April 30th 2016, the dredging will be carried out in the Benoi Basin.
The dredging work will be carried out by grab dredgers held in position by anchor spuds. Tug boats will be used to shift the dredgers.
The dredged materials will be transported to the designated dumping grounds by hopper barges, which will be shifted by tug boats.
A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area of the project.
