The Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership (ESCP) is about to hold a drop in exhibition on new coastal defenses planned to be built at Milton Common in the summer 2016.
The exhibition will take place on Thursday 18th February 2016, at the Moorings Way Infant School in Southsea, Hampshire.
Milton Common defenses include a new 750m rock revetment that will be built along the coastline to protect against erosion. The revetment is likely to be constructed from the same rock used at Anchorage Park.
Two earth embankments will also be built, which will be set back in the common and tie into higher ground.
The finished works will incorporate new paths along most of the embankments and coastline. The area will also be replanted with specially selected trees, shrubs and grass mix.
