Work has been completed on a major dredging program to deepen Largs Yacht Haven, reported on Monday the Yacht Haven.
The contract was performed by Land and Water Services in conjunction with Dutch dredging company, Vandoorn.
The project, which began in mid-January, involved removal of the high spots and deepening the inshore end of the marina to accommodate deeper drafted yachts.
This is the first time since the Largs harbor was built in 1984 that any dredging work has been carried out in the area.
According to the Yacht Haven release, dredging operations will resume next winter with further details on the works to be announced in the autumn.
