The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a public scoping meeting on the Oceanside Shoreline Feasibility Study on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at 5:30 p.m. at the Oceanside City Council Chambers.
The USACE project team will develop a scope of work for the study, to include detailed analysis and evaluation of a focused array of alternatives and include gathering information on existing beach structures and reviewing modeling data.
The main objectives of the shoreline feasibility study are to:
The shoreline feasibility study will take up to 3 years from inception to complete.
At that time, the project will be submitted for approval, and if approved, will require 2 additional phases of appropriations and funding.
