Latest Update on the Hilton Head Beach Renourishment Project

The Town of Hilton Head Island has just announced changes to the schedule of the upcoming beach renourishment project. The Town of Hilton Head Island has just announced changes to the schedule of the upcoming beach renourishment project.

Sand placement activities will commence June 15, 2016 along the Port Royal Sound Shoreline portion of the project.

Once complete, work is expected to move from Port Royal Sound to South Beach, east of the Tower Beach Club in very late July.

The central oceanfront segment will be constructed last, mostly during the months of September and October. Mobilization activities including delivery of pipeline and equipment will continue to occur for the next several weeks.
