Fayette County’s contractor, Massana has completed its work in the lake bed for the dredging of Lake Peachtree.
The announcement was made by the Fayette County Board of Commissioners Chairman Charles Oddo , “ We’re very pleased to bring this portion of the lake project to a close, and timing could not be better with the rain that is predicted for Thursday evening. Mother nature has finally smiled on us!”
Massana will continue the project wrap-up at Drake Field to removal of construction materials and equipment before Drake Field is turned back over to Peachtree City for restoration.
Fayette County Water System Director Lee Pope conveyed his gratitude by saying, “ Thanks to all collaborative effort between CH2M Hill, Peachtree City officials, County leaders and our contractor Massanna, I’m proud to say our beautiful Lake Peachtree is back in service and in better condition than ever. ”
