With immediate effect and for a period of approximately 13 months, marine works involving dredging operations and modification of finger pier will be carried out off Hong Kong Coliseum, Hung Hom.
According to the Hong Kong Marine Department (MARDEP), these operations will be carried out by a flotilla of vessels including one grab dredger, two hopper barges, two derrick barges, one guard boat and one tug boat.
The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.
A working area of approximately 50 meters around the dredger and barges will be established.
Silt curtains, extending from the sea surface to the seabed, will be established within the working area.
