The Maldives’ Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has just released a photo update from the Male Industrial Village land reclamation scheme.
This development project involves works on the extension the area breakwater and reclamation of 4.5 hectares of new land in Male south west harbor.
The $10 million land reclamation scheme, set to be completed by July 26, 2016, was awarded to the Maldives Transport and Contract Company (MTCC) on January 13, 2016.
Dr. Mohamed Muizzu signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry and CEO of MTCC, Mr. Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem, put signature on behalf of the company.
According to Dr. Muizzu, the main purpose of the project is to relocate industrial work to a non-residential area.
