Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has just released an update on the Sungei Pandan dredging operations.
According to the MPA announcement, the working period has been extended from 16 May to 15 July 2016 and the list of crafts has been revised.
The dredging work will be carried out by grab dredgers held in position by spuds.
Tug boats will be used to shift the dredging vessels, MPA said in its latest Port Marine Notice.
The dredged material will be transported to the designated dumping grounds by split barges, which will be shifted also by tug boats.
Safety boats will be deployed in the vicinity of the working area to warn other crafts about the project.
