With immediate effect and for a period of approximately 1 month, dredging operations will be carried out within the Kwai Tsing Container Terminals 6 and 7 area.
According to the Hong Kong Marine Department (MARDEP), the works will be carried out by a grab dredger.
Two tugboats, four hopper barges and one guard boat will assist during the operations.
The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.
A working area of approximately 50 meters around the grab dredger will be established.
Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations, MARDEP said.
