FSUE Rosmorport’s new Ice class Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) Severnaya Dvina has arrived at the Arkhangelsk Seaport, Russia.
The vessel – built and designed by Damen – entered the port basin on July 1, 2016.
Fitted with a complete Damen Dredging Equipment and instrumentation package, the vessel is designed to meet the high specifications required to operate the vessels in the severe weather conditions of Russia’s northern region with air temperatures ranging from -30°C to +40°C.
Following her delivery, the Severnaya Dvina will be responsible for maintaining navigational depths at the Arkhangelsk Seaport basin and approaches, providing safe shipping in the area.
