The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, will be holding a public forum to discuss topics of interest relating to the Corps’ activities along the Los Angeles River and specifically, within the area referred to as “Glendale Narrows.”
The meeting, set for August 1, 2016, in Los Angeles, California, will include a presentation on current conditions relative to flood risks, Corps activities in and along the Los Angeles River and public access and use.
The Corps Asset Management Division, Operation and Maintenance Branch, area of responsibility covers all the Corps owned and operated flood risk management structures within the Los Angeles District boundaries.
Part of the Operation and Maintenance Branch responsibility is the maintenance and operation of Corps owned and operated flood risk management structures within the Los Angeles County Drainage Area Project, which includes 5 dams, one debris basin and 45 miles of flood control channel.
