Maintenance dredging works at the Tankerton jetty and channel are scheduled to take place from 25 July to 16 August 2016, weather permitting.
According to the Parks Victoria’s latest Notice to Mariners, these dredging operations will be carried out by a cutter suction dredge.
The material dredged during this project will be deposited for beach renourishment directly east of the jetty.
On-water plant, equipment and potential hazards to navigation arising from the works will be marked as per IALA standards, the Parks stated.
Mariners are advised to navigate within the designated speed limit and exercise caution within the vicinity of the works.
