Officials with the J. Strom Thurmond Dam and Lake Project in the Savannah River basin seek comments from the public as they update the Shoreline Management Plan for the reservoir and its adjoining lands.
The shoreline management plan describes how the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will efficiently and effectively manage the shoreline, adjacent public lands and waters of Thurmond Lake.
Thurmond Lake plan addresses shoreline allocations, violations, and other relevant information specific to the Thurmond Lake shoreline management program.
The Corps last updated the Thurmond Shoreline Management Plan in 2001.
Deadline for sending comments is September 26, 2016.
