Two 70 foot narrow beam mud boats, funded by Stroud Town Council, were launched into the Stroudwater Navigation at Stonehouse on 5th November 2016.

The dredger “Augustus Gloop” had been craned out of the Ham Mill pound east of Stroud where it had been working, and transported to Stonehouse by road transport.

The addition of “Warp” and “Weft” to the fleet of crafts operated by volunteers on the waterway will enable dredging as part of an ongoing maintenance and improvement program.
