The Willow Grove Boat Launch will be closed from November 28th until December 2nd to complete maintenance and dredging.

With boater safety and facility usability set as the top priority, the Port of Longview is dredging to remove years’ worth of accumulated sediment.

“ We’ve completed dredging along our cargo docks and are excited to get going at Willow Grove ” said Facilities Superintendent Dan Bean , who oversees the Park. “ The completion of the dredging will lead to huge improvements in the usability of the boat launch. ”

Dredging is expected to take one week to complete before the boat launch will reopen for public use.

According to the Port of Longview, while the boat launch is closed, the rest of the park will remain open during normal hours for public use.
