Gurajat Maritime Board OKs Swan LNG Terminal

Swan Energy Ltd, through its subsidiary Swan LNG, has received approval from Gurajat Maritime Board to start construction of LNG terminal for its floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) project, located in Jafrabad, Gujarat.

In a notice to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Swan Energy said that they have executed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with the National Marine & Infrastructure India Private (NMIIPL) for marine and dredging works related to this Gujarat LNG terminal project.

According to the company’s latest announcement, the NMIIPL has already started with the construction works.

The proposed FSRU terminal, set to be completed within 3 years, will have capacity of 5 million mtpa of LNG, the company said.
