SITECH Solutions, provider of Trimble construction technology solutions, has just released a video about the Wigginsville Marina dredging project.
In the video, SITECH presents the use of Trimble GCS900 excavator system for precise marine excavation and dredging and also introduces the use of In Cabin Marine Software to show the underwater surface as it is dredged in realtime.
Trimble GCS900 uses rugged underwater housings for sensors and rugged hydraulic hosing for the cabling.
These sensors are able to work to 20m (66 feet) depth underwater and are resistant to the effects of saltwater and knocking into rock.
