The dredging operations were performed at the Volga-Caspian, Kaliningrad, Azov-Don and Taganrog canals, Rosmorport said in its latest release.

Maintenance dredging work was also undertaken in water areas and at the approaches to sea ports of Arkhangelsk, Makhachkala, Tuapse, Temryuk, Kavkaz, Yeisk, Shakhtersk, Ust-Luga and Novorossiysk.

According to the official statement, significant economic effects and the effects measured by volume of maintenance dredging was achieved due to deployment of the Rosmorport’s dredging fleet.

In 2016, the company acquired new non-self-propelled cutter suction dredger Peotr Sablin for operation at the Volga-Caspian seaway canal.

Arkhangelsk Branch deployed self-propelled dredger Severnaya Dvina with a hold capacity of 2.000m³.

Azov-Black Sea Basin Branch also took the delivery of self-propelled dredger Kadosh and the company’s North-Western Basin Branch introduced its self-propelled dredgers Kronshlot and Sommers.
