Dragflow, an Italian manufacturer of heavy duty pumps and complete dredging equipment, has delivered a dredging hydraulic pump with frontal cutterhead to an Iranian company.

Upon the delivery, the company used this piece of equipment for the construction of a fishery port near Jask area in the Persian Gulf, South of Iran.

“Before finding the best solution in Dragflow equipment, they were dredging mechanically with a long boom excavator on a barge,” said Elisa Innocenti, Dragflow’s marketing manager.

“As the operation were too slow, they decided to switch to the hydraulic dredging by connecting Dragflow HY85/160HC equipped with DTM85 cutterhead on the CAT345 boom.”

“Dragflow equipment proved to be the ideal solution, with a daily production of about 280m³ of dry material (10-11 hours/day) discharged at 1 km distance from the barge.”

After 4 months using the pump and dredging 25,000m³ dry sand, the client was very satisfied with the pump, concluded the manager.
