UAE’s National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) has won a $23 million contract for the marine works in Male, the Republic of Maldives.

This capital development project, undertaken for DAMAC Properties from Dubai, will involve construction of three islands for a 5 star resort, including reclamation of around 1 million cubic meters of new land, significant amount of rock revetment works and one jetty.

The NMDC’s part of the Male lagoons project, set to start by the end of February, will last approximately 10 months, NMDC said in its announcement.
