Comanco Environmental, an environmental and civil construction company specializing in the construction of containment facilities, recently wrapped up construction on a Dredge Basin Liner Containment project in Melbourne, FL.
Over 1.35 million SF of 40-mil smooth HDPE geomembrane was installed across two basins and a clarifying pond.
In addition, 600 LF of HDPE embed on the basins’ concrete outfall structures was extrusion welded to.
Deployment was completed in 2 phases and superintendent, Jorge Barrantes, oversaw both phases.
He helped successfully lead 8-10 man crews complete this project safely and ahead of schedule, Comanco said in its release.
