Young CEDA Belgium will be organizing a visit to the dredging and beach replenishment site in Knokke on March 24, 2017.
The EUR17 million Knokke beach replenishment project has been awarded to the joint venture ‘Noordzee en Kust’, of which Jan De Nul is part.
For the project JDN mobilized its trailing suction hopper dredger Alexander von Humboldt, which will discharge almost one million m³ of sand along the beach of Knokke and Wenduine.
In the morning time, during high tide, the visitors will witness the vessel discharging a load of sand on the beach and in the afternoon the program continues with some presentations on Belgium’s future coastal ideas and general information on dredging.
