An information evening will be held later this month to update residents on the progress of works being undertaken as part of the Huntly Flood Protection Scheme, Aberdeenshire Council just announced.

Representatives from both Aberdeenshire Council and Wills Brothers Engineering Ltd will provide help and advice on queries or issues raised by members of the public at a drop-in session being held on Wednesday, March 29, in Huntly, the council said in its release.

Gavin Penman, the Roads and Landscape Services Projects Manager , said: “We look forward to welcoming residents from Huntly and the surrounding areas to our drop-in information evening. It’s vital that we communicate with those who live and work in the area with regards to what is an extremely important project.”

Wills Brothers Civil Engineering Ltd, who are delivering the £3.5 million scheme designed to reduce the risk of flooding to the Meadows Park area of Huntly and to the A920, Huntly to Dufftown Road, will give a short presentation on the general progress of the works.
