Subsea Tooling Services UK Ltd (STS) was officially launched at Subsea Expo 2015. Created by three individuals, the management team has a combined industry experience of over sixty years which has brought new innovative, reliable and performance leading products into the dredging market.

Dredging Today has spoken with Mr Raymond Cameron, Business Manager at Subsea Tooling Services, about their future plans for the dredge sector, new developments and the impact they project for 2017.

DT: What approach is STS using when carrying out projects for clients?

Our approach is simple, we adopt a partnership level of thinking with our clients where we buy in to delivering a fit for purpose solution to their project, on time, safely and within budget.

DT: Subsea Technology & Rentals Ltd. (STR) recently entered into a partnership agreement with Subsea Tooling Services to hire, service and support their high-performance range of subsea dredging systems. Our readers would love to find out more about this agreement?

Subsea Tooling Services have in place partnership agreements with Subsea Technology & Rentals (STR), Envirent AS, MACSEA and Wallaby Engineering to hire, service and support our high- performance range of subsea dredging systems.

These agreements facilitate global exposure of our products and services and allows our clients the opportunity to source specific cost effective subsea project tooling from one dedicated source.

DT: In your opinion, where do you see the most potential for your company in the future?

Subsea Tooling Services is evolving rapidly, combining innovative technology with design engineering and operational expertise in the field. We see ourselves as leaders in providing specific project solutions throughout the offshore construction, inspection, repair & maintenance and decommissioning sectors.

DT: Can you share some insight about your event calendar for 2017?

As mentioned previously we are an innovative company with Research and development embedded in our DNA. Through our innovation, we will be bringing new technology into the market at focused open days, industry exhibitions and live equipment demonstrations throughout 2017

DT: What can you tell us about the STS current plans for the dredge sector, are there any new developments coming up, new products or services?

We will be introducing a new dredging model to our fleet in 2017, this will be the largest capacity Titan. The latest Titan will be manufactured with our state-of-the-art ejector design which produces a dynamically efficient 24,000 lit/min throughput.

In conjunction with the new Titan dredger we will be introducing our latest Intelligent Dredger System (IDS) which allows operators to automatically control and maximize the dredging system efficiency from a laptop computer.

We are also in negotiations to further extend the reach of our global partnerships into new areas such as Canada and the Middle East.

DT: What are STS’ most important goals and business plans for 2017, in which fields will you focus the most?

Subsea Tooling Services focus for 2017 will be to maintain our industry leading position for the supply of ROV/Diver dredging systems, continue our client partnership approach philosophy by leading in the successful completion of their specialist projects and by introducing new innovative products to the market.
